Why Key to Consistency is Consistency Itself🔑

We often hear consistency is the key to achieving a desired goal. Let's break down how consistency precisely works for staying consistent.

Why Key to Consistency is Consistency Itself🔑

When you wish to learn a new skill, finish a book, or lose extra calories, they invariably tell you consistency is the key. However, with your day-to-day engagements, the mantra rings unreasonable in your head.

Then there will be days when you find it extremely difficult to make time for the ritual. The tight deadlines or prior commitments will tempt you to shift your priorities. You'd think that you'll make good the loss over the weekend.

Well, the truth is there's enough time. What's not enough, in the beginning, is the motivation, the willingness. What's there is a lot of resistance in your mind. So be it the weekend or weekday, commit to showing up to overcome the inertia. There will be days when you'll barely stick around for a few minutes.

Trust the magic of routine. It trains your mind to step out of its comfort zone. Your mind needs some time to get the hang of it. It needs to get used to it. Just make sure to squeeze a little bit of time out of your busy day every day. Learn to be in the process.

It might strike your mind that you're not putting in enough effort or logging in enough hours to make any difference. Don't let your all-or-nothing mentality come your way. Show up. If you wish to pick up something new, make that your habit first. Rest will happen on its own.

You know why they say that something is a lot better than nothing. It is because each day counts. Progress is not a sprint. It's a marathon. It is dependent on both effort and time function. A few benefits you reap on days you want to skip on-end compounds over time!

So does your momentum. So does your confidence. So does your motivation. So does your willpower. All this is what you need to show up. Every single day. Every damn day. But there is no other way around it.

Show up to build your momentum. Show up to gain confidence. Show up to find motivation. Show up to improve willpower. Show up to reap the gains. Show up to show up today, tomorrow, and every day.
