They tell me to get my life together,

But I wanna have all the fun.

They tell me to make a name & fame,

I'd rather read & write in my cocoon.

I don't wanna fill my pockets,

Don't wanna live in a white mansion.

I am a free soul like a free bird,

Want to fly high across the continents?

I wanna paint my soul,

Wanna dance to my song?

I don't wanna run your mad race,

Just wanna go on & be carried along.

I got this one lifetime,

Wanna make the most of it.

I don't wanna run pillar to post,

Wanna stay back & sing at home.

‌‌

I wanna gaze at the night sky,

Don't wanna shoot for the moon.

I'll feed my soul & follow my passion,

Live on the edge morning & afternoon.

‌‌

I wanna go out for long walks,

Spend my evenings by myself.

I wanna play with my street friends,

Don't wanna wait for the weekend.

‌‌

I wanna sleep soundly at night,

Welcome mornings looking bright.

I wanna take the day as it comes,

So be it to scale the heights.

‌‌

Think I am carefree,

Think I am comfortable.

How does it matter, however,

As long as I am healthier & happier?

‌‌

Neither am I ignorant

Nor am I delusional.

Just wanna see this world,

The way it stays rich & colorful.

‌‌

Don't wanna move forward with haste,

Wanna carry on at my pace with grace.

I know that this swifty world won't wait

Until I take my last breath to go to waste.

‌‌

I wanna stay true to myself,

Don't wanna live a life like theirs.

I wanna do my thing, wanna do my stuff,

As long as I live, As long as I am here.
